25% of the votes are cast and the die is cast for this election. A vote for me, Bob Drach, is a vote for the most qualified and independent candidate in the NC State Auditor Race. More than that, it is a vote for better financial management in government.
During the campaign I've been asked about the insanity of programs like the covid releif programs, where billions of your tax dollars were plundered (e.g.: https://apnews.com/article/pandemic-fraud-waste-billions-small-business-labor-fb1d9a9eb24857efbe4611344311ae78). If we want to get control of waste, fraud, and abuse in government spending, the Office of the State Auditor (OSA) is a good place to start.
Unfortunately, in North Carolina the OSA is beset with unethical behavior and political favoritism at the very top. Hence the importance of choosing a qualified and independent next leader. Most of you know that Bob is that choice.
In a few recent podcasts, Bob had the chance to review the race and how his election can set the tone for better financial management and positive change in state government. These include:
With Roman and Matthew at the Philosophisn't podcast. about 45 minutes:
With Feena and Mike at the Campaign Update podcast, starting from minute 16:00 to 54:00:
On the Pete Kaliner show, WBT in Charlotte, Hour 2 on 10-28-2024:
And here is a one-minute closing statement on some of the many reasons to elect Bob Drach for NC State Auditor:
